Fresh Tracks from the Modular Lab
Lately, I’ve been exploring the classic Berlin School sound: pulsing sequencers and expansive atmospheres that defined early electronic music. Inspired by early Tangerine Dream tracks and artists such as Martin Stürtzer, S1gns of L1fe, Arjen Schat, and Ascendant, I use modular synthesis in VCV Rack and recording in Reaper on Linux to create hypnotic rhythms and evolving melodic textures that unfold organically over time.
I’m drawn to open-source tools and experimental workflows that keep the process hands-on and fluid, often recording live with two NakedBoards MIDI controllers and an Arturia MiniLab MkII.
